Firstly you will need to prepare a small box, ensuring it is securely taped together well on the bottom.
If you choose you can line the box with a towel or scrunched up newspaper.
Get a stack of packing or butchers paper (or foam wrap) and place it on the bench top. Never newspaper as the ink is likely to rub off onto your cutlery.
Now get your knives and place them at one end of the paper, gently fold the sides over so as not to pierce a hole in the paper, then roll up your knives folding in the sides as you roll.
Repeat with forks, spoons etc. Keep each package as only knives, only forks etc
I you have a lot of any item of cutlery you may want to separate out into appropriate sized bundles. i.e. 2 bundles of knives, 2 bundles of spoons etc
Use a piece of tape to secure each package.
If you want you can label each packages contents.
Repeat the same process for other cooking utensils.
Once you have placed all the parcels in your box, you can fill in gaps with scrunched up newspaper or a towel.
Tape up the lid of the box.
Remember to label your box so it’s easy to find in your new home.
